Oscar is an AI-powered assistant built into HeyOrca that helps you build a content plan that is consistent with your brand voice and current chat history. Oscar can help you write better captions, summarize your content schedule, brainstorm ideas, and draft posts in your calendar. You can chat with Oscar, ask for suggestions, and apply those suggestions directly to your caption while staying consistent with your brand voice.
What Oscar can help you do
With Oscar: Captions Helper, you can:
Get caption suggestions and improvements
Create a post from an event
Create a post based on your month’s content
Make changes on your publishing details (posting time, date, etc.)
Ask for feedback on your captions, such as how well your caption aligns with your brand voice
Oscar understands the context of what you’re working on, including:
Your current caption
Your current chat history
The social platform of your scheduled post
The images you've added to your post
Your content calendar
How to chat with Oscar
Adding your brand voice gives Oscar the context needed to deliver great results. It's not a required step to start chatting, but we highly recommend doing this first. You can set up and edit or add to your brand voice at any time.
From your post:
Create a new post, or open an existing post.
Click to open the text editor and click the Oscar (AI) icon
The Oscar chat panel will open next to your post content.
From your calendar:
Open the calendar you want to create content for.
Click the Oscar icon.
The Oscar chat panel will open next to your content calendar.
Ask Oscar for help
You can interact with Oscar like a chat assistant without having to provide additional context! Since these chats are calendar-specific, you can get help tailored to the client workspace you're in, eliminating the overhead of setting up multiple personas in an external AI tool.
Examples of things you can ask:
“Rewrite this to sound more playful.”
"Create a post for our latte art workshop on April 22"
"What should I post this week based on my calendar?"
"Move this post to next Thursday."
“Adapt this caption for LinkedIn.”
Type your request in the chat input.
Press Send.
Oscar will respond with suggestions based on your caption and brand voice.
You can also click one of the quick actions at the top of the screen as a shortcut!
Apply Oscar’s suggestions to your caption
Review Oscar’s response in the chat.
Click Apply on the suggestion you want to use.
The caption editor will update with the selected changes.

How to review post edits made by Oscar
Open the post you would like to review and click the “Audit trail” icon
In the Audit trail, you can see which edits were made by which user via Oscar
Current limitations
At this time, Oscar is unable to perform certain tasks, including:
Access specific features on the post like:
Bio link
Auto DMs
Location Tagging
Hashtag library
Create a set of recurring posts
Answer questions about other features in HeyOrca
Edit posts without your approval
Approve posts or change the stage of a post
Reply to comments on a post
How to turn Oscar off
Go to your settings page from the side navigation bar, or click “Manage your AI Settings” at the bottom of the chat window.
Toggle off “Enable all AI features” to disable Oscar and other AI features in HeyOrca.
To turn Oscar back on, simply toggle “Enable all AI features” back on.
Note: Conversations with Oscar may be stored and reviewed by HeyOrca to help improve the quality, accuracy, and usefulness of the feature over time. This helps us improve responses and suggestions, and improve the overall experience.
