HeyOrca allows teams to have control over whether Oscar and other AI-powered features are available in their workspaces. Some teams may choose to disable AI tools due to internal policies, client requirements, data privacy preferences, or simply because they do not plan to use AI-assisted features.
Understand disabling AI permissions in HeyOrca
Oscar permissions in HeyOrca can be managed at two levels:
Organization level – controlled by Organization Owners
Workspace level – controlled by Workspace Owners and Admins
When AI permissions are disabled, AI-powered features across HeyOrca will either:
be hidden from the workspace, or
will be inactive with a message explaining that AI permissions are disabled
This setting applies to features such as Oscar and other AI-powered tools in HeyOrca such as:
Each AI feature has its own permission setting, giving your team more flexibility over how AI tools are used in HeyOrca.
Manage AI permissions for an entire organization
Organization Owners can enable or disable AI permissions across all workspaces in their organization.
To manage organization-wide AI permissions:
Go to your Organization Settings
Open the AI Permissions section
Toggle AI permissions on or off for the organization
⚠️ Heads Up: Disabling AI at the organization level will override workspace-level AI settings.
Manage AI permissions for a single workspace
Workspace Owners and Admins can manage AI permissions for individual workspaces.
To manage AI permissions for a workspace:
Open the workspace
Go to Calendar Settings
Select AI Permissions
Toggle AI permissions on or off for that workspace
⚠️ Heads Up: If AI has been disabled at the organization level, workspace-level AI settings cannot be enabled.
