Add Alt Text to social media posts

Add Alt Text directly from your Media Library or post editor, reuse descriptions, and build accessibility into your social media workflow.

Alt text (short for alternative text) describes an image for screen readers and other assistive technology, making your social media posts accessible to more of your community. HeyOrca's AI Alt Text suggestions generate a description for you in seconds, or you can write your own.

You can add alt text in two places:

  • Directly on an image in your Media Library, so the description is ready to reuse across future posts

  • On an image inside the post editor, while you're building a specific post

Alt text is supported for images on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. On Threads, alt text is supported for both images and videos.
