When you connect a Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn Company page to a Workspace, HeyOrca will pull in posts you've already published on that channel and adds them to your Calendar to show real posting history for that channel.
đ Before you start
Past post import is currently available for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn Company pages.
Import brings in posts published from today back to the first of last month.
Import will run automatically when you connect a supported channel.
What gets imported
Posts already published from today back to the first of last month.
Posts published on the channel itself, regardless of how they went out including posted natively in the social channel, through Meta Business Suite, through another scheduling tool, or previously through HeyOrca.
Posts already in your Workspace aren't imported again.
â ď¸ Import will only add organic posts and Reels for these social channels.
â
HeyOrca doesn't import Stories, shares or reposts, polls, check-ins, or other unsupported and private post types. Scheduled or draft posts on the source platform will not be imported either, only posts that are already published.
Import past posts by connecting a new social channel
1. Open the Workspace you want to add a channel to.
2. To connect a Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn business page, you can:
Go to the Workspace Settings and add them there.
Add a social channel from the Bulk Actions in the top right of the Calendar view.
HeyOrca starts importing automatically. A loading indicator shows how many posts have been imported so far.
Find imported posts on your calendar
Imported posts appear on the calendar on the dates they were originally published.
đ FYI: Imported posts look the same as posts created in HeyOrca. Open the post to see an "Imported from [platform]" label confirming it was imported.
Reuse an imported post
Imported posts cannot be deleted or edited (like any other published post, it stays as is.) To make changes, copy it to another channel instead:
In your Calendar, open the post.
From the Edit bar, copy the post to another channel.
Adjust the content.
Publish.
If the original media file no longer exists, HeyOrca restores it as part of the import.
âď¸Tip: Copy the post to your Content Library to reuse the post as a template for evergreen content.
View performance data on imported posts
Performance data appears on imported posts about 48 hours after import, based on what your subscription tier allows you to see.
