⚠️ Due to Meta's API requirements, in order to publish directly to Facebook through HeyOrca, you must:
have Full control (Admin access) on the Facebook Page.
Even if you have Business Portfolio access or permissions in Meta Business Suite, the Page won’t connect without Page-level Full control. You can verify your access permissions by following the steps on Facebook’s Help Centre.
Connect your Facebook account
Once you've confirmed you have the correct permissions, you can set up your Facebook account in HeyOrca.
From your workspace, go to Settings.
From the Integrations tab, click Add account.
Find the Facebook tile from the Integration options and click Connect
Click Continue from the connection page, then follow the authorization prompts from Meta.
Once your account is successfully connected, go back to your workspace Settings > Integrations to check notification settings.
You'll have the option to select direct or notification publishing as your desired publishing method. You can also choose the user who will be the notification receiver and the notification type using this menu.
Supported Post types
With HeyOrca, you can plan and publish Facebook posts and Reels.

Portrait feed image | 1080 × 1350 px | 4:5 | 15 MB |
Reels
Post type | Recommended size | Aspect ratio | Max file size | Duration |
Standard feed video | 1080 × 1920 px | 16:9 | 10 GB | 1 second – 240 minutes |
Best Practices for publishing on Facebook in HeyOrca
Design for mobile-first viewing whenever possible and use 4:5 portrait images for feed posts to maximize screen space on mobile
Facebook displays multiple images in a collage-style grid in the feed and may crop images into square thumbnails to fit the layout. Keep important visuals centred so they remain visible across different preview arrangements.
Allow up to 48 hours for analytics and reporting data to fully populate after publishing
Limitations
Stories
Due to Meta’s API limitations, Facebook Stories cannot currently be directly published through HeyOrca.
If you’d still like to plan Facebook Story content in HeyOrca, you can use Notification Publishing workflows to prepare your content and receive a reminder to publish manually through the Facebook app.
Multi-Video Reels
At the moment, Facebook Reels published through HeyOrca can only contain one video file per Reel.
This means:
You cannot upload multiple video clips to create a stitched Reel
You cannot combine photos and videos into a Reel during publishing
Video editing features available natively in Facebook may not be available through HeyOrca
If you’d like to use multiple clips, you’ll need to use the notification publishing feature.
Editing Features
Editing features available for images and Reels in Facebook are not available to the same extent in HeyOrca. Some photo editing tools are available in HeyOrca but not through the Meta API.
