If you are a Canva user, you already know how simple it is to create amazing and stunning graphics for your social posts and business! With the Canva button, you can use your previous designs and create new ones without having to leave your post! 🙌
Manage your Canva connection
Each team member can connect their Canva account and use it across all calendars in your team’s HeyOrca account.
To connect, or disconnect your Canva account visit the Integrations tab located in your Profile Settings.
Select Connect Canva and follow the on screen steps to connect your account. Press Disconnect Canva to remove the account from HeyOrca.
Create and export designs directly to posts
Click the Open Canva button located on the post toolbar to open the integration and visit your Canva account.
Canva will open a new blank design with the selected post aspect ratio in a new tab where you can create your design. You can access your Brand Kit, folders and other Canva tools found in the native Canva experience.
To export your design, select Return to HeyOrca. You'll then be prompted to choose your post file type. Select Export to HeyOrca to add the media to your post.
Edit exported designs
Exported designs can be edited again by selecting the elipses menu on the image preview and clicking Edit Design.
Use Canva in your media library
The Canva integration can be directly accessed from the Media Library. This is a great way to create content to store for later use without adding it to a post.
Exported designs can also be edited in the Media Library by selecting Edit In Canva.
Canva integration limitations
Here are a few things to note about the limitations of the Canva integration:
Only single images can be exported at this time.
Canva may charge your account twice for premium assets, because uploading existing designs will create a copy in HeyOrca. Creating copies or changing designs that have premium assets or elements in Canva will require you to pay for the assets again.
Canva will not save a design created in HeyOrca to your Canva design library. It can only upload whatever is created directly to the post. However, it will be saved within your HeyOrca Media Library and you can make edits to that design from here at anytime.
Some native Canva tools or functions may not be available within the integration. This is a limitation from the Canva API.
Some features of the Canva Integration are still within the Beta stages on Canva's website and are subject to change, and features may become available or removed at any time.
