FAQ: Trending Audio

Why can't I find a specific audio?

For Instagram Reels, HeyOrca pulls from Instagram's Commercial Music Library and Original Audio catalog. It won't include every popular or copyrighted song, only tracks Instagram has licensed for business use through its API.

For TikTok posts, HeyOrca gives you access to the Top 100 trending songs, that can be filtered by country and genre.

If you want to use a specific audio that you can't find in HeyOrca, you can still plan and schedule your posts in HeyOrca and set the post to Notification Publishing to add your desired audio.

Can I select a specific part of a song to use in my post?

For Instagram: No. Instagram plays the track from the beginning for the length of your video. This is an API limitation from Meta.

For TikTok: Yes! You can use the slider to adjust the audio to the part of the track you want to use for your video. You can also reduce the length of the audio by shortening the slider.

Can I add trending audio to an image post or carousel post?

For Instagram, trending audio is only available for Reels.

HeyOrca doesn't currently support image carousel posts for TikTok for direct publishing.

Can I adjust my video's volume and the trending audio's volume separately?

Yes. Once you select a track, you can adjust the audio volume and your video's volume independently, on a scale of 0 to 100.

Will adding trending audio cause copyright issues on my content?

HeyOrca uses Instagram's official API, so you're choosing from the same tracks Instagram makes available to Business Profiles natively. That said, Instagram can still remove or mute a reel if a copyright claim comes in, and your video would play without sound. This is the same as posting natively, and it's enforced by Instagram, not HeyOrca.
