Bio Link is a customized URLs that can be linked directly into your Instagram bio to share external links through a single link and landing page. This can help your or drive audience engagement, education and conversions to external links.
Set-up Bio Link
Before setting up your Bio Link, make sure you have your Instagram account connected to HeyOrca. Your Instagram account must be a Professional or Creator account to connect.
From your Calendar, navigate to the Grid view.
From the top right corner of the Grid view, either toggle Bio link on or click on the gear (⚙️) icon to open Bio Link settings and activate from the toggle in the Bio Link settings modal.
Add the Bio Link to your Instagram page by copying the link in the Address section (or from the Grid preview page) and paste it in your Instagram bio.
Edit Bio Link settings
From your Bio Link settings, you can edit:
Active Toggle: Bio Links can be enabled and disabled using the Active toggle. They can also be quickly managed from the Grid View.
Address: The link that you copy and paste into your Instagram Bio so that your followers can access your post-related links. You can also find your link located in the Grid view.
Enlarge first image: This allows your most recent post to appear bigger than the rest of your posts to attract attention. You can turn this on or off with the check box to the right of this option. A preview of your post caption will also display as shown below if you choose to enable this option.
Page background color: The color that your Bio Link landing page will be when it is clicked. The background color allows you to match your brand visuals and CTA buttons!
CTA Buttons: Call to Action (CTA) buttons can be added alongside your Instagram post links.
Add a new CTA Button
Select Add New CTA.
Enter the title, the destination link and any custom colours you want for your button.
Press Save.
💡Tip: To preview your Bio Link landing page, copy and paste the Bio Link URL into your browser window.
Understand Instagram Grid preview
Instagram Grid preview
On the left side of the page, Instagram Grid preview shows a visual layout of your Instagram feed using your past and upcoming posts.
By using the filters from the Post Schedule, you can see how your content appears together on your profile, so you can plan and adjust before publishing and check your layout, spot duplicate or out-of-place posts, and keep your branding consistent across your feed.
In short, the Grid preview helps you plan your Instagram content visually, not just post-by-post.
Post Schedule
The Post Schedule shows a list of your Instagram posts and their status.
Here, you can see:
When each post was scheduled or published
The post’s status
Track Bio Link click performance for each post
Add or edit links that will appear on your Bio Link landing page
You can track what content is live, what’s coming up, how your posts are performing in Bio Link and managing the links connected to your content.
Track Clicks for Bio Link
Your HeyOrca Bio Link records received clicks on applicable posts containing a link, as well as your CTAs.
Bio Link Clicks allow your team to view and track the amount of traffic going to your linked posts and CTAs to analyze how your audience is engaging with your Bio Link.
Post Clicks
Post clicks are visible on the right hand side for any post that contains an active link. This data measures the clicks that occurred on a linked post on the Bio Link landing page.
CTA Button Clicks
Clicks for your CTA buttons can be seen in the CTA settings. This data measures the clicks on the CTA buttons themselves.
Add Links to Posts for Bio Link
There are two ways for you to add links to your Instagram posts to be added to your Bio Link landing page:
Add links through the Instagram Grid preview
Navigate to your Grid view.
Select the post you’d like to add a link to.
Locate the link fields on the right-hand side.
Enter your desired link.
Publish your post! The link will go live on your Bio Link landing page once published.
Add links from the Calendar
Navigate to the Calendar and select your Instagram post you want to add a link to.
From the Post Editor, select the Bio Link tab.
Enter your link and click Save.
Publish your post! The link will go live on your Bio Link landing page once published.
Filter posts by status
You can use the Filter button to control which posts appear in your Grid preview. It will automatically show posts that have been published including both direct publishing (Published) and notification publishing (Notified).
You can also filter posts based on their status, such as:
Draft
Awaiting approval
Needs revision
Approved
Filtering your posts can help you focus on specific stages of your workflow such as reviewing only posts that are awaiting approval or checking what’s already been published.

Published means the post was published through HeyOrca. Published via Instagram means that the post was pulled in from Instagram and was published outside of HeyOrca (for example, posted natively in Instagram).
