The First Comment feature keeps your captions clean by moving hashtags, links, and tags into a separate comment that posts automatically. First Comments are supported on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
First Comment is available on the Basic and Pro plans and on posts using Direct Publishing.
Add First Comment to a Post
After creating your Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn post, follow these steps for each platform.
⚠️ Before you get started, ensure you've reauthorized the Instagram professional account (Business or Creator) you want to use with First Comment.
Scroll down to the bottom of your post.
Above the text box, click the First Comment tab.
Add the copy that you would like in your First Comment for the post.
👀 FYI: Limitations for First Comment of Instagram are:
200 character limit
A maximum of 30 unique hashtags can be added between your post caption and first comment
Only available for Instagram Business and Creator accounts
Facebook and LinkedIn
Navigate to the textbox for your Facebook or LinkedIn post.
Above the textbox, click the First Comment tab.
Add your copy to the First Comment text box.
Facebook and LinkedIn support the addition of links, as well as company and profile tags for further customize your comments.
Once you have your caption entered in the First Comment section, it will be automatically posted as the first comment to your post once published to your account!
