HeyOrca currently supports all photo file formats by converting any uploaded photos into the recommended formats as outlined by Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Instagram.
Uploading Content to HeyOrca
To upload content, you can easily drag and drop media into your calendar tile, into your post, or by pressing the upload button!

Recommended Photo and GIF Formats
To ensure your photos upload with the best quality, we recommend these settings:
Supported image media types: JPG, PNG, GIF
Image Height/Width: 720px, 960px or 2048px wide
File Size - Facebook will compress anything over 100KB
HeyOrca will also support the following maximum file sizes & compress the photos and gifs to meet Facebook’s requirements
File Size: 25mb
Image Height: 8888px
Image Width: 8888px

X Photos
Supported image media types: JPG, PNG
Image size <= 5MB - X will compress anything larger
X Gifs
Supported image media types: GIF
Resolution should be <= 1280x1080 (width x height)
Number of frames <= 350
Number of pixels <= 300 million
Filesize <= 15Mb - X will compress anything larger

Pinterest Photos
Pinterest recommends a 2:3 aspect ratio (e.g. 1,000 x 1,500 pixels). Other ratios may cause your Pin to truncate, or may negatively impact performance.

Aspect ratio between 4:5 and 1.91:1

Height depends on width restrictions and aspect ratio

Instagram GIFs
Instagram does not currently support the file type .gif - to upload a gif, first, convert it to an MP4

Here are the recommendations for GIF uploads, based on GIPHY best practices:
Uploads limited to 15 seconds, but we recommend no more than 6 seconds.
Uploads are limited to 100mb, but 8mb or lower is best.
The Source video resolution should be a maximum of 720p, but we recommend 420p or lower.

Edit Photos in HeyOrca
With our built-in Photo Editor, it’s easy to alter and enhance the images you’re posting on social media.

Crop your images by selecting Transform and select a preset dimension or create a custom ratio for your edits. The transform tool also allows you to rotate your images, as well as select preset Facebook dimensions!
Add Filters to your Photos
Select the Filter tool to choose a filter to enhance your photo! With dozens of filters you can find one for every occasion.
To further enhance your photos, you can use the Focus tool to select areas of your image you want to focus on!
Personalize your Photos
Create an eye-catching message to add to your photo! Double tap on the text box to edit your text and choose your own font, color, sizing, and you can even select a transparent background.
