The Social Inbox makes it effortless to manage your Facebook and Instagram Direct Messages directly from your HeyOrca calendar. This guide goes over how to manage your Instagram Direct Messages!

Facebook

This guide goes over how you can manage your incoming direct messages for your Facebook page, in HeyOrca's Social Inbox!

*The Social Inbox is available as part of Pro.

Head over to the Social Inbox, where you can find your comments, mentions, and direct messages for Facebook and Instagram.

Ensure that you have Direct Messages for your Facebook profile selected from the left-hand side menu.

The Social Inbox will display your comments, mentions, and direct messages. You can choose to enable them all, or choose the view that's most relevant for you!

Reply to Messages

Facebook Direct Messages can be identified by the messenger icon on the sender's profile image.

Instagram messages can be identified by the Instagram logo.

To reply to a message, hit the Reply button which will open up the reply box!

Here, you can easily craft a reply using and add additional components such as GIFs and emojis.

View Your Recent Chats

To view your full chat, click on the sender's profile image to open up the recent chat history.

You'll be able to view your recent messages and continue to respond from this view. Select the back arrow to head back to your social inbox.

Resolve Chats

When you're done responding to a conversation, hit the Resolve button to mark it as completed.

View Resolved DMs

You can view resolved messages by selecting the Resolved filter. This will display all the resolved messages you have, for the message types selected.

Turn off the toggle to return to the unresolved view, or select Clear all Filters.

Bulk Actions

The social inbox allows you to take action on messages at once. To use the bulk actions, select your messages using the box on the left-hand side, and select the Bulk Actions menu.

The bulk action menu allows you to bulk resolve, unresolved, hide, and unhide your messages.


Instagram

Access your Messages

Start by heading over to the Social Inbox, where you can find your comments, mentions, and direct messages for Facebook and Instagram.

Ensure that you have Direct Messages selected from the left-hand side for your Instagram account.

The Social Inbox will display your comments, mentions, and direct messages. You can choose to enable them all, or choose the view that's most relevant for you!

Reply to Messages

To reply to a message, hit the Reply button which will open up the reply menu!

View Your Recent Chats

To view your full chat, click on the sender's profile image to open up the recent chat history.

You'll be able to view your recent messages and continue to respond from this view.

You can use the AI suggestions here as well, along with GIFs and emojis to further customize your messages!

When you're done, select the back arrow to head back to your social inbox.

Resolve Chats

When you're done responding to a conversation, hit the Resolve button to mark it as completed.

Marking a message as resolved will remove it from your view along with your team's view. Resolved chats can be viewed using the Social Inbox filters!

View Resolved DMs

You can view resolved messages by selecting the Resolved filter. This will display all the resolved messages you have, for the message types selected.

Turn off the toggle to return to the unresolved view, or select Clear all Filters.

Bulk Actions

The social inbox allows you to take action on messages at once. To use the bulk actions, select your messages using the box on the left-hand side, and select the Bulk Actions menu.

The bulk action menu allows you to bulk resolve, unresolve, hide, and unhide multiple messages at once.

Sort your Content

You can also sort your messages, along with your comments and mentions from Newest to Oldest, or from Oldest to Newest using the Sort By filter menu located on the top right of your inbox!
