It’s time to say goodbye to writer's blocks with the help of HeyOrca’s new AI Caption Generator!

AI (Artificial Intelligence) captions allow you to create generated caption suggestions for your posts by understanding what your post is about, relevant keywords and the tone you’d like to have!

How to Use the AI Caption Generator (Video)

Step 1: Create a new post

The first step to create AI Caption Generator is to create your post. AI Caption Generator are available on all post types!

Navigate to the calendar and press ‘new post’ on the top right.

You can also create a new post directly within the calendar by pressing the 'new post' button on the day you'd like to schedule the post for!

Step 2: Press the AI Generator button located under the caption text editor

Once your post has been created, press the ‘AI Caption Generator’ button located underneath the captions text editor.

Step 3: Enter what your post is about, keywords and select a tone for your post

Input the context for what your post will be about, along with any relevant keywords you’d like to use to help tailor the post. To add multiple keywords, separate each keyword with a comma.

Finally, you can choose from one of nine types of tone, or add a custom tone by typing it in to help make your post exactly how you’d like it to be.

Once your inputs have been added to the generator, press ‘Generate Captions’ to generate your responses!

Step 4: Add one of the caption suggestion to your post, or click regenerate to get new responses

The generator will display 2 caption suggestions at a time based on the provided inputs. If you’d like to add one of them to your post, press the ‘Add to Post’ button!

If you’d like to try regenerating some more responses, you can press ‘regenerate’ with the same inputs to get different responses.

Additionally, you can also adjust the inputs and then press ‘regenerate’ to get a set of entirely new suggestions!

Step 5: Continue editing your post

Once you’ve added a caption suggestion to your post, you can continue editing it to finalize your content! The AI Caption Generator are a great starting point for your posts, but we recommend tweaking the suggestion as well as proofreading it to ensure it fits your brand’s voice.


AI Alt Text

With HeyOrca’s Alt Text feature, you can now descriptions to your images that will help make your content more accessible and to create more inclusive content!

There are two ways that you can add Alt Text to your images:

  • On images directly in your HeyOrca Media Library

  • On images within your posts in the HeyOrca calendar

Note: Alt text is only supported for Facebook, X (Twitter), Pinterest, and LinkedIn images. Alt text for GIFs is only for X.

Instagram does not currently support Alt text. Alt text is not supported for videos.

How to use Alt Text (Video)

Add Alt Text from the Library

Here’s how to add your own Alt Text or use our AI suggestions to your images in the Media Library.

From the calendar view, click on the Library icon located on the grey navigation bar:

Find the image you would like to add Alt Text to and click the three ellipses on the image, then click Alt Text:

From there, a new window will open allowing you to enter in your own alt text, or use the AI suggestions.

AI suggestions are automatically generated using artificial intelligence to analyze the content of your image and provide a description, to save you time! The suggestions will generate two suggestions at a time to choose from, with the option to re-generate suggestions.

To add in one of the suggested descriptions, click on the select button in the caption box to add it in!

If you'd like to generate a set of new descriptions, select the re-generate button indicated by the circular arrow.

You can also tweak an AI generated suggestion by adding it to your caption, and adding in any edits you'd like!

Add your own Alt Text

To add your own alt text instead of using the AI generated description, simply enter in your desired text!

Add Alt text from your calendar

On your HeyOrca calendar, begin by creating a new post or edit an existing post.

Upload an image to your post, and click the three ellipses on your image preview to edit the Alt text of that image.

From here, the AI will analyze your image and provide two suggestions to add to your post.

To add a caption press the select button!

To generate a new set of captions, press the circular arrow next to the suggestions!

Add your own Alt text

If you'd like to add your own alt text, you can simply type it into the description box!

Your Alt text has been added to the image on your post! This will be visible on the Alt tag on your image when you hover over it.

Your content is now accessible! Your audience will now be able to view your applied alt text on the supported platforms!
