Troubleshoot tagging FB Pages

Having trouble tagging a FB page? Here's a workaround.

Updated this week

Having trouble tagging Facebook pages in HeyOrca? No worries! This guide helps you troubleshoot and get your tags working by showing you a simple workaround to ensure your posts go out perfectly. 🙌

If you encounter an error or can’t find the page you need to tag, please try the following steps:

Step 1: Go to the page on Facebook and open the "About" tab. Then, select the "Page transparency" tab.

Screenshot of a Facebook page titled "HeyOrca," displaying the "About" section. This section includes details like account information, page transparency, and links to manage settings. The layout features a profile picture on the left and various informational headings about the page's purpose and responsibilities.

There, copy the page ID, we will use it to tag the page in HeyOrca.

With Meta rolling out updates to their page layout, this tab may not be available for all users. In this case, some third-party sites may allow users to find the page ID using the page URL.

Step 2: Go to HeyOrca and select the post you would like to tag the page on. In the copy, you will need to type the following:

Text displaying a placeholder format for a social media mention, with elements indicating a page name and an associated page ID.

Please make sure you have the correct spelling and have capital/lowercase letters and spaces where they should be. Here is an example of how it will appear:

Then when you click outside of the copy, the tag will populate:

You can click on the tag directly in HeyOrca to make sure you have tagged the correct page.
