With Instagram Demographics, you can easily access key insights about your growing community! This allows you to better understand your audience, tailor your content strategy, and optimize engagement based on your followers data.

View your audience demographics

Step 1: Head over to your reports section in HeyOrca by clicking the reports icon on the grey navigation bar.

Step 2: From the reports menu, click the demographics tab in the reports side panel and select Instagram Demographics, or select it from the reports dashboard!

Step 3: In the report, use the drop down menu to select which account you want to view the report for. (Your account must have a minimum of 100 followers to collect demographic data!)

Step 4: With your account selected, your demographics data will appear! The report will display the Live data by default, but the date selector can be used to view the data for another day!

The Audience Distribution feature includes an interactive world map that allows you to zoom in and out to explore your follower base by location.

You can also hover over different countries to see the number of followers in each region to identify geographic trends in your audience growth.

For a more focused view, the Locations section highlights your top 5 countries with the highest follower count and your top 5 cities where your audience is most concentrated. Understanding where your audience is located can help you schedule posts at optimal times and create region-specific content that resonates with your followers.

Instagram Demographics is available on HeyOrca Pro Calendars. To learn more about Pro, reach out to our Customer Care Team, or upgrade in app for a 14 day trial!

Export your Insights

When you’re ready to share your demographics, click the Share button in top right!

Here you’re able to email the report, schedule a report, or export it as a PDF or XLSX.

Note: Since demographics doesn't support a date range, scheduled reports will email a PDF of the account data of the day the report is generated (e.g first of the month, last of the month etc.)
