Reauthorizing social accounts can sometimes be tricky, but we are here to help every step of the way! 🙏

First things first, try clicking “Check Status” next to the account that you are trying to reauthorize on your “Reauthorization Dashboard”.

If a green check appears next to the account after clicking “Check Status”, there is no need to reauthorize.

If there is still a red yield sign next to the account after reauthorizing and checking the status, here is troubleshooting advice, broken down by social network:

Facebook

Roles & Permissions and security on Facebook can be more complex than the other social networks. Here’s a checklist of some questions to ask yourself if you are running into trouble reauthorizing a Facebook page.

  • Are you an admin of the page either directly on the page, or through business manager?
  • Have you completed two-factor authentication if it is required/enabled?
  • Have you completed any outstanding “blocking checkpoints”?
  • Are you able to login to Facebook and post to the Facebook page?
  • Do you have "Inherited" Permissions or access from a Child page of your Parent Facebook page? (You will need to be re-added if you are an inherited admin).

If you receive an red error message after being redirected back from Facebook saying that your channel couldn't be reauthorized, you can take a look at this video tutorial on how to edit your Facebook settings:

Common manage page permissions are ones that allow HeyOrca to comment and mange your page on your behalf, so make sure to check that they are enabled!

Still can’t reauthorize? Try this:

From your personal profile, go to your Settings, then on the left hand panel click "Business Intergrations"

Select HeyOrca by checking the box.

Remove HeyOrca.

Leave the box unchecked and click remove again.

Then, go back to your Reauthorization Dashboard in HeyOrca and try to reauthorize again.

Editing your Facebook Integration Settings
